When is it worth renting for 7 days or more?
Whenever you need a car for a week or longer, because from 7 days the daily price goes down. For example, the Audi A4 drops from €50 to €40/day, and the Ford Focus from €45 to €40/day.
Typical situations: your car is at the garage, you have a project of a few weeks in the area, or you are coming home on holiday. If your plans change, you have two options:
- Extend: let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
- Return early: you get the remaining amount as a voucher valid for 12 months.
What do the STANDARD deposit and SMART Insurance mean?
They are the two ways to rent: with a deposit blocked on your card, or with a daily fee and a €0 deposit.
- STANDARD deposit: no extra cost per day; a deposit of €200–400 is blocked, depending on the car, and released within 30 days of returning the car.
- SMART Insurance: +€10, +€15 or +€20/day and a €0 deposit. It is a daily fee that reduces the deposit to €0, not a third-party liability (RCA) or comprehensive (CASCO) insurance policy. Among other things, fuel, lost keys or documents, cleaning, damage to the underside of the car, wheel rims and tyres, misfuelling and smoking remain your responsibility (see the Terms and conditions, chapter 5).
What are the main conditions?
- A valid licence, an ID document and a credit card to block the deposit (no prepaid or Diners cards; Revolut, N26 and similar for payment only).
- Payment by card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) or cash.
- 400 km included per day; above that, €0.20/km.
- Same fuel level on return; otherwise €50 plus the fuel.
- Smoking in the car is not allowed.
- Additional driver €10; Romanian road vignette included.
