In short: at Rentio, from 7 days upwards you pay the reduced daily rate, for example 28 €/day for the Opel Astra or 30 €/day for the Dacia Logan. A month (30 days) with an Opel Astra costs 840 €, VAT included. You get 400 km/day included, you announce an extension at least 24 hours in advance, and you choose between the STANDARD deposit and SMART Insurance (Asigurare SMART).
If you need a car for two weeks, a month or a whole summer, long-term rental works simply: the same cars, the same conditions, but with the reduced rate that applies from the seventh day. Below you will find calculations for 14 and 30 days on four models from the fleet, plus the rules that matter when you keep the car longer: mileage, extensions and the deposit. The figures come from the price list and from the Rentio Terms and Conditions.
How much does it cost to rent a car for a month in Satu Mare?
A month (30 days) costs between 840 € and 1,650 € for the models below, calculated with the reduced rate from 7 days. Rates include VAT.
There is no separate monthly rate: for any rental of at least 7 days, the reduced daily rate applies, multiplied by the number of days. One rental day means 24 hours. Here are four examples, with the STANDARD deposit:

All models are "or similar". The price includes VAT, the Romanian road vignette and 400 km per day. Fuel is not included: you receive the car with a certain fuel level and return it with the same level. Who is long-term rental right for?
For anyone who needs a car every day for several weeks but does not want to buy one or does not have one available.
- Diaspora coming home for the summer. If you fly in from the UK on the Wizz Air London Luton – Satu Mare flight and stay three or four weeks, you can pick up the car directly at Satu Mare International Airport. You have the car for visiting relatives, weddings, christenings and trips through the Oaș area or Maramureș, without depending on anyone else.
- Temporary work in the area. A project of a few weeks in Satu Mare, Baia Mare or Zalău means a daily commute. A small, economical car such as the Opel Astra or Dacia Logan keeps costs under control.
- Your own car is in the garage. Longer repairs can take weeks. With a car rented for 14 or 30 days you keep your usual routine: work, school, shopping.
How many kilometres are included over a long period?
You have 400 km per day included in the rate. Above the limit you pay 0.20 €/km, according to art. 3.13 of the Terms and Conditions.
For normal driving in the area, the limit is more than enough: the Satu Mare – Baia Mare or Satu Mare – Zalău commute fits easily into one day. If you are planning long drives, for example a trip to another part of the country, keep track of your kilometres. An example: if you exceed the limit by 100 km, you pay 20 €.
If you want to drive the car abroad, you need Rentio's written consent. Leaving the country is possible only within the EU/EEA, with a 50 € fee for documents and a deposit between 200 and 1,000 €.
How do you extend the rental if you still need the car?
You announce the extension at least 24 hours before the return date in the contract (art. 8.2), at +40 746 678 872, by phone or WhatsApp.
With long rentals, plans change often: the holiday gets a week longer, the garage needs a few more days. Do not wait until the last day. A message sent in good time gives you peace of mind and lets the Rentio team plan ahead too.
If, on the other hand, you finish early and return the car before the agreed date, the amount paid in advance is refunded as a voucher valid for 12 months (art. 6.8). This is worth knowing, especially if you pay for a whole month upfront: payment is made in full when the contract is signed, by card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) or cash.
STANDARD deposit or SMART Insurance for a long-term rental?
With the STANDARD deposit you leave 200–400 €, depending on the car. With the SMART option you pay an extra 10, 15 or 20 €/day, and the deposit is 0 €.
SMART Insurance is a daily fee that reduces the deposit to 0 €. It is not a third-party liability or comprehensive insurance policy (RCA/CASCO), and certain costs remain your responsibility (see Terms and Conditions, chapter 5): fuel, keys and documents, cleaning, the underside of the car, rims and tyres, wrong fuel and smoking.
Over a long period, the daily fee adds up. Here is the difference on the same four models:

Rates include VAT. The STANDARD deposit is blocked on your credit card and refunded within a maximum of 30 days after you return the car (art. 6.9). Over the long term, the STANDARD deposit costs less, but the amount stays blocked for the whole period. SMART Insurance spares you the deposit, at the price of the daily fee. What should you check when you pick up the car for a month?
Check the car's condition, the fuel level and the mileage at pickup, and make sure they appear on the handover form before you sign.
Over 30 days it is harder to remember what the car looked like at the start, so the photos taken at pickup matter even more.
